FAQ
Lets see if I can answer some of your questions.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in working with trauma and believe that the origin of all our struggles is going through a difficult experience without appropriate support for us. Diagnostically, I work with several concerns such as posttraumatic stress disorder, dissociative disorders, depression, and anxiety being a few.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple! First, reach out to me via phone or email so we can set up an initial consultation. During this first session, we’ll discuss your goals, what you're looking for in therapy, and how I can best support you. From there, we’ll create a plan that works for you and schedule regular sessions to begin your healing journey. Feel free to ask any questions or share any concerns you may have before we begin. Make sure to leave a message when you call.

What should I expect during my visit?

During your visits, you can anticipate being met with understanding and compassion as you navigate the challenging experiences you've faced in your life. We will take the time to slow down and examine the narrative of your trauma, allowing you to hear its impact on your nervous system. In this supportive environment, we will create space for you to process and release any stuck fight, flight, or freeze responses. You can also expect to gently explore discomfort with guidance, ensuring that it remains manageable and not overwhelming. This approach fosters healing and empowers you to move toward greater self-awareness and resilience.

Would I be able to use my insurance?

I do not accept insurance; however, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement for my services. Please contact your insurance company to see if that is possible.

How may sessions would this take?

I wish I could tell you exactly how long the healing process will take, and I understand that you want to resolve your pain as soon as possible. The truth is, healing unfolds at its own pace, and it takes as long as it takes. Everyone's journey is unique, and the time it takes to heal is shaped by many factors. What I can offer is support, guidance, and a safe space to navigate this journey together, no matter how long it takes.

How long are your sessions?

Sessions typically last 50 to 60 minutes. However, if you have specific needs or would like a longer session, we can discuss and tailor the time to best support your process.

How often would I have sessions?

Sessions are typically held once a week to provide consistent support. However, the frequency can vary depending on your individual needs. Some clients may benefit from more frequent sessions, while others may prefer biweekly or less frequent meetings. We can discuss what works best for you and adjust as needed.
